Not only that, but our lesson plans support all six Areas of Learning and develop children’s life skills e.g.: problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, decision-making, creative thinking, interpersonal skills, self-awareness, empathy, coping with stress, and dealing with emotions.
Tried-and-tested
Pyjama Drama was established in 2005 in the UK, and since then, our techniques, games, and approaches have been trialled by thousands of children both throughout the UK and internationally.
When you purchase a Pyjama Drama curriculum, you can rest assured that every component has been tried-and-tested countless times to make sure it is easy to deliver, and produces excellent outcomes for children.
Award-winning & highly rated
We are very proud that 'Dip into Drama' has been recognised for two years in a row in the UK Teach Early Years awards - a prestigious, and highly competitive awards process in which hundred of businesses compete each year.
What makes us even prouder, is the amazing reviews we regularly receive from teachers and practitioners who say not only that they are seeing brilliant results with their children, but they are throughly enjoying delivering our plans and using our approach in their practice!
FAQs
Is there an ongoing cost?
After 12 months, there is a cost of £195 per setting, per year, to continue to access the curriculum. This is because our curriculum includes pre-recorded training to enable any staff who join during the year to learn how to deliver 'Dip into Drama' effectively. What topics are covered?

What happens in a lesson?
In each lesson, children play a drama game that takes place in an imaginary world, e.g., at the vet’s, in the ocean, at school, in space, or in the rainforest. They take on different roles, learn new songs and rhymes, dance, move, and share their thoughts, feelings, and ideas.
How long is a lesson?
Each lesson is structured in exactly the same way, and is designed to last approx. 20 minutes. However, when you first begin teaching the curriculum, you may find lessons only last around 10 minutes - and that is absolutely fine! As your confidence and familiarity with the curriculum build, you will soon find your lessons easily lasting twenty minutes.
What age is this curriculum for?
Children aged 2 - 5 years.
What’s the recommended number of children in each lesson?
There is no set recommended number. Space permitting, you can successfully teach 1 or 31 children!
How long does the pre-recorded training last?
It takes less than an hour to watch the training, which is in the form of short, manageable lessons which you can watch flexibly. You have access to this training for the whole year.
